Although the musical story starts earlier than this, let's begin with second grade. All dressed up for the school performance of Cinderella, where I didn't get a part but was the only kid to get a standing ovation... for playing the piano to accompany the cast during the ball. An so it begins...
Next, it's me and Shawn Pelton (drummer) and my Dad. My dad and I LOVED watching Shawn, so when I met him through my NYC job, I asked him to play on my second record. He is the drummer you hear on "Keep", my Dad's favorite song, and many more throughout my records.

"Steaming Hearts" is about my now-husband. It's my angry song. It's my "don't worry, it'll work out either way" song. And then Mr future husband (and his best friend Peter) helped me film this music video into the middle of the night. He had me on a rope while I climbed this cliff in the Tetons while our helicopter drone videographer hovered above.
At 1:48 you can hear the theme of "Inevitably". I spent years making scores for College Humor and this one had dozens of comments asking "what song is that from?" and so I finally made that song.
